As the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency released a detailed report Wednesday on its case against Lance Armstrong, the former cycling champion?s anti-cancer foundation told ESPN its revenues are up 2.1 percent for the year so far.
The charity, formally named for Mr. Armstrong but widely known as Livestrong, had raised $33.8-million through Sept. 30. Foundation data showed the number of donations up by 5.4 percent compared to the same period in 2011 and the average dollar amount given increasing as well.
Mr. Armstrong gave up his fight against the anti-doping agency?s charges in August but has continued to deny that he ever used performance-enhancing substances.
In publicly presenting its evidence for the first time Wednesday, the watchdog body cited testimony from 11 former Armstrong teammates in placing the seven-time Tour de France winner at the center of what agency CEO Travis Tygart called ?the most sophisticated, professionalized and successful doping program that sport has ever seen.?
